Bootstrap in the Park Day Service (November 2009)
…. Bootstrap have now established new sites from which the day service for people with a learning disability is being delivered. Bootstrap in the Park is now being delivered from Gatty Park in Accrington and Rhyddings Park in Oswaldtwistle. Working in partnership with Hyndburn Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and the Friends of Rhyddings and a range of community and neighbourhood projects, Bootstrap in the Park is themed around horticulture, parkland and garden care, rural art, community development projects and live animal care. It is delivered in integrated community settings and offers service users opportunities for personal development, training and accredited learning as part of their own Individual Plans.
