Award-winning charity Bootstrap Enterprises is investing in a newly-refurbished building on Manchester Road that will provide advice, guidance and training to assist Burnley residents into paid work and to help them to set up their own business.
Over three floors, the team at Bootstrap Enterprises will provide one-to-one advice and guidance, IT suites for job search, employability packages, vocational training, vacancy finding, application and interview techniques and workshops for people managing the transition into work.
Bootstrap not only gets people into work, they help people to stay in work and have careers. The Lancashire-based organisation has over 3,000 jobseekers on its caseload that are being retrained and up skilled to fill vacancies in the local labour market.
The launch of the new facility, by Burnley MP Julie Cooper, marks a celebration of Bootstrap now owning their own building in Burnley after more than 20 years of renting premises.
Bootstrap Enterprises’ chief executive, Elizabeth Taylor, said: “We are delighted to realise our ambition of owning premises providing a permanent facility fully equipped to host activities to get Burnley residents into work and business.”
